The studio

Kozma Works is an independent game studio in Délegyháza, Hungary. We make small games, and we try to make each one completely: the rules, the music, the first five minutes and the last level, the store page and the privacy policy.

Right now that means three very different worlds. Glowbug Swap is a calm puzzle about glowbugs finding their way home, finished and on its way to Google Play. Scrap Core: Overclocked is a co-op dive into a dying reactor for Roblox, in development. Rumor Has It is a co-op horror game built from the world’s urban legends and set in the night streets of 1986 Budapest, also in development.

Why the stars

Kozma is a family name, but in Hungarian it sits right next to kozmosz, the cosmos. Our mark is drawn on a construction grid: a thick ring cut by a long diagonal, like the path of a comet across a planet. This website borrows the rest from old star atlases: hairline grids, catalogue numbers and small notes in the margin. It is a reminder that a game is a little world with its own laws, and that the laws are worth drawing carefully.

What we care about

Rules you can read. A good game shows you why something happened. A glowbug carries its craving in a bubble above its head. In Scrap Core, an enemy’s attack is always announced by shape and movement, never by colour alone, and the game is fully playable with the sound off. In Rumor Has It, the rules are read out on the radio.

Fair play. Nothing you need to finish a game is locked behind a payment. Progress in Glowbug Swap never depends on paying, Scrap Core sells only skins, the hats in Rumor Has It are just hats, and its kits, which change how you play, can also be earned in play.

Respect for your time and your data. No artificial timers, no daily chores that punish you for taking a day off, no dark patterns. Our games collect only what they need, and this website sets no cookies at all. Each game has its own privacy policy that says exactly what is stored and where.

Accessible by default. Colour-blind-safe palettes, patterns as well as colours, large touch targets, settings for reduced flashing and high contrast. Not everything is perfect yet, but these come first, not last.
